Nachdem es unter anderem in Venedig, Berlin, München und Sao Paulo gezeigt wurde, ist „Metropolis“ nun angekommen in Porto Alegre.
Dieses internationale Projekt gipfelte in der Schaffung eines außergewöhnlichen Künstlerbuches, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Centro Internazionale della Grafica, Venedig, durchgeführt wurde.
Metropolis ist eine Metapher für das eigentliche Thema des Buches: die Stadt, der urbane Raum, das Zusammenleben vieler Menschen und ein Ort, der wird, also ein Ort der Kommunikation und des Austauschs. Um dieses Buch zu erarbeiten, wurden 303 Künstler aus der ganzen Welt eingeladen mitzuwirken, mit einer Voraussetzung: die Arbeit mußte in 20cm x 20cm Format durchgeführt werden.
Die Arbeiten wurden in allen graphischen Techniken hergestellt und ermöglichen eine Auflage: Holzschnitt, Linolschnitt, Lithographie, Siebdruck, Metall-Gravur und Typografie. Die Teilnehmer kommen aus verschiedenen Ländern, darunter Australien, Japan, USA, Italien, Deutschland, Russland, Polen, Ungarn, England, Frankreich, Spanien, Tunesien, Kanada, Mexiko und Brasilien.
Das Ergebnis dieser Arbeit ist ein Leporello-Buch in Form eines Künstlerbuches, die Gesamtlänge beträgt etwa sechzig Meter und verbindet die 303 Graphikexemplare.
Das Buch wurde in den Werkstätten des Centro Internazionale della Grafica gebunden und entspricht den künstlerischen und ästhetischen Kriterien vom Schöpfer und Projektkurator Andreas Kramer.

After it was shown, among other things in Venice, Berlin, Munich and Sao Paulo, „Metropolis“ has now arrived in Porto Alegre.
This international project culminated in the creation of an exceptional artist book that was in collaboration with the Centro Internazionale della Grafica, Venice, performed.
Metropolis is a metaphor for the real theme of the book: the city, the urban space, the coexistence of many people and a place, which is, therefore, a place for communication and exchange. To develop this book, 303 artists from around the world were invited to participate, with one condition: the work had to be performed in 20cm x 20cm format.
The works were made in all graphic techniques and allow Edition: woodcut, linocut, lithography, screen printing, metal engraving and typography. The participants come from different countries, including Australia, Japan, USA, Italy, Germany, Russia, Poland, Hungary, England, France, Spain, Tunisia, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
The result of this work is a Leporello-book in the form of an artist’s book, the total length is about sixty meters and connects the 303 graphic copies.
The book was bound in the workshops of the Centro Internazionale della Grafica and meets the artistic and aesthetic criteria from the Creator and project curator Andreas Kramer.

Depois de passar por Veneza, Berlim, Munique e São Paulo, “Metropolis” desembarca em solo porto-alegrense.
Esse projeto internacional culminou na criação de um excepcional livro de artista, que foi realizado em cooperação com o Centro Internazionale della Grafica, de Veneza.
Apresentação e abertura da exposição: terça-feira, 19 de abril, as 19 horas.
Metrópoles é uma metáfora para o verdadeiro tema do livro: a cidade, o espaço urbano, a convivência de muitas pessoas e um lugar que se torna, portanto, um lugar de comunicação e trocas. Para fazer esse mapeamento, 303 artistas de todo o mundo abordaram o tema, tendo um único pré-requisito: os trabalhos tinham que ser feitos no formato 20cm x 20cm.
As obras foram produzidas em todas as técnicas gráficas que permitam uma tiragem: xilogravura, linoleogravura, litografia, serigrafia, gravura em metal e tipografia. Os participantes são de vários países, entre eles Austrália, Japão, Estados Unidos, Itália, Alemanha, Rússia, Polônia, Hungria, Inglaterra, França, Espanha, Tunísia, Canadá, México e Brasil.
O resultado desse trabalho é um livro de artista em forma leporello, que se alonga por cerca de sessenta metros de comprimento, juntando 303 peças gráficas.
O livro foi encadernado nas oficinas do Centro Internazionale della Grafica e a sequência dos trabalhos obedece aos critérios artísticos e estéticos decididos pelo idealizador e curador do projeto Andreas Kramer.
